§ Mr. PaiceI assume that my hon. Friend is referring to section 2A of the Local Government Act 1986—as inserted by section 28 of the Local Government Act 1988. Section 2A applies to the activities of local authorities and not to individual schools. It is not legislation with which school sex education must comply and is not therefore included within the scope of Ofsted's inspections of schools.
