§ Mr. HanleyThe UK co-sponsored a resolution on the human rights situation in Nigeria at the UN General Assembly in December. The resolution, which was passed by a convincing majority condemned the arbitrary execution after a flawed judicial process of Ken Saro-Wiwa and his eight co-defendants and invited the Commission on Human Rights to give urgent attention to Nigeria at its forthcoming session in March-April.
