§ Mr. Kirkhope[holding answer 26 February 1996]: Information regarding the number of asylum seekers who have travelled through other countries before arriving in the United Kingdom is not held centrally. A breakdown of applications, initial decisions or appeals for such cases is, therefore, not available.
