[16184]

Mr. Howard

(a) The following executive non-departmental public bodies—NDPBs—have a statutory base:

  • Commission for Racial Equality
  • Data Protection Registrar
  • Gaming Board for Great Britain
  • 220
  • Horserace Betting Levy Board
  • Horserace Totalisator Board
  • National Lottery Charities Board
  • Police Complaints Authority.

(b) None of executive NDPBs for which I am responsible admits members of the public to all board or committee meetings either under a statutory requirement or voluntarily.

(c) The Commission for Racial Equality holds conferences and seminars on race relations issues and the Data Protection Registrar holds meetings to discuss the operation of the Data Protection Act, but neither they nor any of the executive NDPBs for which I am responsible are under a statutory requirement to hold open meetings.
