§ Mr. David DavisOfficials have frequent contacts with the South African authorities in the course of their duties. However, they had no contacts concerning Mr. Grecian prior to his arrival and arrest in South Africa. Since his arrest, officials have been in touch with the South African prison authorities and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in the course of their consular duties.
