§ Mr. BoswellThe Department does not keep a central record of environmental appraisals conducted before new or revised policies are adopted. However, officials have been instructed to take environmental considerations into account in the policy development process using the guidance contained in the Department of the Environment's booklet "Policy Appraisal and the Environment".
