To ask the Secretary of State for Health what monitoring he is undertaking of the availability of paediatric intensive care beds. [13317]

For the period until 31 March 1996 we have arranged for Sheffield children's hospital to undertake a daily survey of the availability and occupancy of paediatric intensive care beds in hospitals in England.
