§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThe information requested is not held centrally and my right hon. Friend has no reason to set up an inquiry. The Department of the Environment has issued Glasgow zoo with sales exemptions in relation to several ocelots, geffroy cats and margay cats, all of which are CITES listed animals. These exemptions allow Glasgow zoo to sell the animals within the UK. There is no requirement for the zoo to specify the destination of the animals.
