§ Mr. HoramThe national health service executive is working with the joint consultants committee to promote the development of new clinical indicators, which will enable aspects of NHS trusts' performance to be268W examined. It will be necessary to pilot and test any proposals before publication. Some of the clinical outcome indicators published in Scotland require the linkage of patient records in a way not yet routinely available in England, and accordingly there are no plans at present to publish such indicators.
