§ Mr. HanleyMoves to achieve peace in Sudan have centred on the initiative launched in 1994 by the Inter-Governmental Authority on Drought and Development, including Kenya and Uganda, which we have fully supported. The UK has also played an active part in stimulating a critical dialogue between the EU and100W Sudan. At the UN, the UK has been active in securing the passing of resolutions critical of Sudan's human rights record.
