§ Mrs. BrowningCompliance with all aspects of the Welfare of Livestock Regulations 1994 is monitored by the state veterinary service. Welfare inspections of pig farms include, where appropriate, an assessment of compliance with paragraph 3 of part IV of schedule 3 to those regulations which relates specifically to the tail docking and tooth clipping of piglets.
