§ Mr. MossIt is estimated that over 100,000 people seen by GPs each year are diagnosed as having some form of mental illness. Over 99 per cent. receive treatment in the community. Mental health is a key area in the "Government's Regional Strategy for Health and Social Wellbeing 1997–2002".
