§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyThe appointment of Sir David Hannay in May as UK Special Representative for Cyprus has strengthened our contribution to UN-led international efforts to achieve a comprehensive political settlement. My right honourable friend the Foreign Secretary will visit Cyprus 15th-16th December to carry forward the momentum for a solution in 1997.
