HC Deb 13 December 1996 vol 287 c396W
Sir Terence Higgins

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department for what reasons no official maps of the boundaries of the new West Worthing and East Worthing and Shoreham constituencies are available; and when he estimates his Department will produce them. [8908]

Mr. Sackville

The composition of the new constituencies is set out in the Parliamentary Constituencies (England) Order 1995 and the new boundaries will come into effect at the next general election.

The fourth periodical report of the Boundary Commission for England, published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office—now The Stationery Office—on 6 June 1995, illustrates the commission's recommended boundaries for all constituencies in England. Those recommendations were given effect, without modification, by the Parliamentary Constituencies (England) Order 1995. Maps of the constituencies of West Worthing and East Worthing and Shoreham are found at volume 4 of the commission's report, which is available from the Stationery Office and its accredited agents.

We have no plans for the Department to produce further maps of the new constituencies.
