§ Mr. ForthMy right hon. Friend has placed a condition of grant on the Higher Education Funding Council for England from 1997–98. This will require the council to enable universities and colleges to meet any additional costs for medical schools arising from any pay increase awarded by the Government to NHS clinicians.
