Mr. Kirkwood

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment (1) how many children under the age of five years have(a) full-time and (b) part-time places in (i) nursery classes in schools, (ii) nursery schools and (iii) reception classes in schools, by local education authority; and if he will make a statement; [7296]

(2) what percentage of children under the age of five years currently have (a) full-time and (b) part-time places in (i) nursery classes in schools, (ii) nursery schools and (iii) reception classes in schools, by local education authority; and if he will make a statement. [7297]
