Mr. MacShane

To ask the President of the Board of Trade what representations have been made to the Government of Singapore in respect of participation by UK-based non-governmental organisations at the World Trade Organisation interministerial conference in Singapore. [7009]

Mr. Nelson

Representations to participate in the conference are made to the World Trade Organisation secretariat in Geneva. Twelve UK-based non-governmental organisations have requested registration forms from the secretariat to participate in the conference.

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list the(a) Ministers, (b) officials and (c) accompanying persons whose attendance at the World Trade Organisation interministerial conference in Singapore in December 1996 will be paid for by public funds. [7136]

My right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade plans to lead the UK delegation and will be accompanied by 12 officials.
