To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list for each of the last five years the funding for local authority transport spending provided by his Department. [6945]

The provision was as follows:

  • 1992–93: £999 million
  • 1993–94: £1,187 million
  • 1994–95: £1,008 million
  • 1995–96: £960 million
  • 1996–97: £830 million.
