§ Mr. FreemanThe Stationery Office is a privately owned company carrying out work for a variety of customers. Its contracts are its own commercially confidential business.
Details of printing contracts let by Government Departments are not collated or held centrally. At the point of sale of The Stationery Office, on 30 September 1996, no contracts or arrangements between Government Departments and HMSO Wales Print Services were transferred to The Stationery Office. One customer contract and one customer arrangement previously held by HMSO Wales Print Services were transferred. The contract was with the Metropolitan police for the provision of printed matter and the arrangement was with Health Promotion Wales for a warehousing and distribution service.
