§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe following sums were allocated for small firms merit award for research and technology, support for products under research and regional enterprise grant—innovation—research and development support schemes in Wales:
- 1990–91:£2.53 million.
- 1991–92:£2.935 million
- 1992–93:£2.422 million
- 1993–94:£3,186 million
- 1994–95:£3.751 million.
Welsh industry has also received support from Department of Trade and Industry and European Union research and development schemes.
