To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) what was the number of inmates put on governor's report for being in possession of unlawful drugs in Wandsworth prison in 1995; [26613]

(2) what was the number of recorded drug finds in Wandsworth prison in 1995. [26617]

Letter from Richard Tilt to Mr. Tom Cox, dated 29 April 1996: The Home Secretary has asked me to reply to your recent Questions about the number of prisoners placed on governor's report in Wandsworth prison for being in possession of drugs and the number of recorded drug finds at Wandsworth prison in 1995. In 1995, 84 prisoners were placed on governor's report for being in possession of unlawful drugs and, during the same period, 208 drug finds were recorded in the prison.
