§ Mr. Lang[holding answer 19 April 1996]: The impact of directives, individually and collectively, on costs will differ between countries depending on national regulations and practice before the adoption of the directives at a European level. To date, directives adopted under the Maastricht agreement on social policy have not been implemented in member states.
