§ Mr. Michael Forsyth[holding answer 16 April 1996]: The cost of travel and accommodation incurred in visiting Scotland are matters for my right hon. and right hon. and learned Friends. The policing of such visits is a matter for the appropriate chief constable; costs are met from the budget of the police authority or joint board and attract police specific grant at 51 per cent.
