Letter from C. J. Harris to Mr. Peter Viggers, dated 16 April 1996: The Secretary of State for Transport has asked me to reply to your recent Question about the number of sorties flown by the Coastguard helicopter at Lee-on-Solent. During 1995 the Coastguard helicopter based at Lee-on-Solent was tasked on 258 occasions. Since 1 January 1996 up to and including 31 March 1996 the aircraft has been tasked on 31 occasions.
