Further to the Answer given by Baroness Blatch on 2nd April 1996 (WA 36), which proportion do the persons originating from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan shown in the table attached to the Answer form of the total number of persons who have sought leave during the past 12 months to enter or remain in the United Kingdom as spouses or fiancés/fiancées of persons settled in the United Kingdom and who have been refused entry to leave or remain under the primary purpose rule.
