HC Deb 03 April 1996 vol 275 cc325-6W
Mr. Galbraith

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list the number of people(a) discharged from hospital and (b) referred to out-patient departments with the diagnosis of lateral epicondylitus in each of the last five years. [24195]

Mr. Horam

Data available centrally do not separately identify lateral epicondylitis. The condition is one of a group under the general heading of enthesopathy of the elbow region, region, ICD9 726.3. The number of finished consultant episodes within this group, where a discharge from hospital is indicated, in each of the last five years for which figures are available, is shown in the table. Data on referrals to out-patient departments are not available centrally.
