§ Mr. BurtThe introduction of incapacity benefit was a major undertaking. In the light of practical experience so far, we are looking at ways of improving the administration of the benefit. Any changes will be tested and evaluated before they are adopted nationally. Three projects to test variations in detailed administrative procedures have been established based in Glasgow, Leeds and the south-east of England, to take this work forward.
