§ Mr. EggarDiversification projects can potentially benefit from a number of regional, export and technology initiatives. The Konver initiative specifically addresses the economic development of defence-dependent areas. Following the inaugural meeting of the British Konver II programme on 22 February, applications for grant have been invited for this programme, which will be worth some £200 million over the next four years.
