§ Mr. ForthHigher Education Funding Council for England funding for research is not earmarked but distributed as part of block grant which higher education institutions allocate at their discretion. It is for institutions themselves to decide what additional support to give to research in sensor, data fusion and data processing technology in the light of technology foresight findings.
