§ Mr. HanleyThe consultative group for Kenya met at the invitation of the World bank in Paris on 21 to 22 March. Donors welcomed recent positive developments in Kenya's economic policies and the publication of a new policy framework paper, while underlining the importance of a range of good governance issues. The UK announced the immediate release of £5.1 million of programme aid, to support civil service reforms. A copy of the World bank's press statement has been placed in the House of Commons Library.
