HC Deb 31 October 1995 vol 265 c191W
Mr. McMaster

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has to review the effectiveness of the tree preservation order system in Scotland with particular reference to the prosecution of those who fell or pollard trees prior to submitting planning applications to develop on such sites, or when such applications are under consideration; and if he will make a statement. [39161]

Mr. Kynoch

I propose to initiate a review of the tree preservation order system in Scotland in 1996. The review will be wide ranging and will consider all aspects of the operation of the present system.
