HC Deb 31 October 1995 vol 265 c141W
Mr. Fisher

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what estimates she has of the amount of overtime that is being worked nationally in(a) the last year for which data are available and (b) 10 years ago. [39374]

Mrs. Angela Knight

I have been asked to reply.

According to the labour force survey in spring, March to May 1995, 91 million hours overtime were worked per week in Great Britain. The current estimate for spring 1985 is 68 million hours overtime per week.
