HC Deb 31 October 1995 vol 265 c200W
26. Mrs. Mahon

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement on the decision of Berkshire health commission to deny treatments previously made available on the national health service. [38237]

Mr. Malone

Berkshire health commission has issued a public discussion document setting out its proposed health care purchasing priorities for 1996–97. There are no blanket bans on treatments; each case will be considered on the basis of clinical need. Any significant changes in local services arising from the proposals will be the subject of further public consultation.
