§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe only body, based in South Yorkshire, to which the Secretary of State makes public appointments is the Sheffield development corporation. For this body, I have provided three tables, giving the information requested. Table 1 shows the total annual budget broken down into total expenditure and total grant in aid for the four financial years between 1992 and 1996, 1995–96 being an estimate. Table 2 shows the number of appointments and reappointments for the calendar years 1992 to 1995 and table 3 shows the current composition of the SDC board.
