To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) if he will list the names of the chairman, general manager or chief executive of the Doncaster health authority and its successor bodies and the Doncaster Healthcare NHS trust in each of the years since 1988–89 and the amounts paid to each person in fees, salaries, other remuneration and expenses for each year; [39540]

(2) if he will list the names of members serving on the Doncaster health authority, its successor bodies and the Doncaster Healthcare NHS trust in each of the financial years since 1988–89 and the amounts paid to each person in fees, salaries, other remuneration and expenses for each year. [39539]

Non-executive members of health authorities are remunerated at a flat rate of £5,000 per annum—before 1990 they received no remuneration.

Since December 1991, chairmen of NHS trusts have been remunerated within the range £15,125 to £19,285 per annum. Non-executive directors of trusts are remunerated at a flat rate of £5,000 per annum. Details of expenses paid to NHS board members are not held centrally.

The total remuneration of the chief executives of Doncaster Healthcare NHS trust and Doncaster health authority during the periods in question is as follows:
