§ Mr. LangMy Department's responsibilities are indicated in the list of ministerial responsibilities which is published regularly by the Cabinet Office and is available through the Vote Office. The Department's objective is to help UK business compete successfully at home and abroad. It also aims, through the Office of Science and Technology, to strengthen the UK's science engineering and technology capability and to maximise its contribution to national economic performance and quality of life.
