HC Deb 24 October 1995 vol 264 cc619-20W
Mr. Blunkett

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what estimate she has made of the cost of ensuring that all schools meet the requirements of the Education (School Premises) Regulations 1981. [38765]

Mrs. Gillan

The information about school premises that is available to the Department is not sufficient to allow such an estimate to be made.

Mr. Blunkett

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many responses she has had to the consultation on the Education (School Premises) Regulations; and how many were in favour of proposed changes. [38767]

Mrs. Gillan

A total of 111 responses were received by the Department before the consultation period formally came to an end on 18 October. They are still being analysed. We shall make available a summary of the responses in the usual way.

Mr. Blunkett

Mrs. Gillan

The information requested is not held centrally.
