HC Deb 24 October 1995 vol 264 c615W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many of the directors of Barnsley and Doncaster TEC have received payments from TEC funds for services provided by the TEC; what these were and when; and if such payments will continue in the current financial year, and in 1996–97. [38293]

Mr. Paice

The activities of Barnsley and Doncaster training and enterprise council are governed by the TEC licensing agreement, which provides that no director, except where he holds office as managing director or chief executive of the TEC, shall receive any remuneration from the TEC or a subsidiary of the TEC from payments made to the TEC by the Secretary of State. All directors give their time freely for TEC and TEC partnership activities. The chief executive's remuneration is reported in the TEC's annual report, a copy of which is placed in the Library.
