In February of this year, a representation was received from Friends of the Earth, Guernsey expressing concern about the transport of nuclear waste from France to Japan. I refer the hon. Member to my answer on 6 March,Official Report, column 58.

A similar representation has since been received from the hon. Member for Stoke-on-Trent, North (Ms Walley), concerning the British registered ship Pacific Pintail and its passage around Cape Horn earlier this year while carrying vitrified residue from France to Japan.
