§ Mr. ForthMany schools and local education authorities already have policies on giving medication in schools. The Department is currently consulting on general guidance for LEAs, schools and teachers on managing children with a range of medical conditions, including administering medication. It is intended that this guidance will draw together much of the good practice already followed by some schools and LEAs.
