HC Deb 16 October 1995 vol 264 cc123-4W
Mr. Martyn Jones

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the cases where information has been withheld by his Department under section 118 of the Medicines Act 1968. [36756]

Mrs. Browning

Section 118 protects information furnished for the purposes of the Medicines Act, and thus may affect all activities concerning medicines licensing. I am committed to making as much information available as possible within this constraint, but examples of information which would be withheld would include details of manufacturing processes or the addresses of sites at which companies are trialing products under development.
