§ Mr. NorrisSection 98 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 provides that a driving licence shall be in such form as the Secretary of State may determine.
A proposed EU directive allowing the introduction of plastic photocard driving licences is at present under discussion; I will make a further statement on the introduction of photocards when these discussions are more advanced.
