§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe Health and Safety Executive is not aware of the private coal companies which publish accident figures on a six-monthly basis. The decision whether to publish company accident statistics is a matter for the individual company concerned. The HSE mines inspectorate publishes accident statistics for the whole of the mining industry on an annual basis and has no plans to publish any on a company basis.
