To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the unemployment rates by sex, age and ethnic origin for each year from 1989 using the latest labour force survey. [2848]

Comparable information on International Labour Organisation unemployment by sex, age and ethnic origin is available from the labour force survey (LFS), quarterly from spring 1992 onwards. It can be obtained via the Quantime LFS service available in the Library. Information for the average of the three years 1989–91 is available from the February 1993 issue of the Employment Gazette, which is also available from the Library.
