As you know, the Minister for Railways and Roads, Mr John Watts, has asked me to reply to your recent Parliamentary Question asking the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will list those schemes in the national road programme for which statutory 553W pre-construction procedures have been completed and orders have been made, the dates on which the orders were made and the dates on which they will expire.The relevant schemes are listed below together with the dates when the Compulsory Purchase Orders were made. Notices to Treat, warning interested parties that the Highways Agency intends to exercise its powers, have to be served within 3 years from the date of making of such orders.
