§ The Minister of State, Department of Social Security (Lord Mackay of Ardbrecknish):On the latest estimates published in Financial Statistics in November general government expenditure excluding privatisation proceeds rose by 3.8 per cent. in 1994–95 over the previous year. The figures on which this calculation is based are subject to revision in the Financial Statement and Budget Report published on 28 November.
