Mr. Byers

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many police officers, and from which countries, have received training by police authorities in this country in the last five years. [225]

[holding answer 21 November 1995]: Information is available only for the period since January 1991. Central records show that 157 training visits to police forces have taken place since then involving officers from the countries listed. The number of officers involved is not recorded.
