HC Deb 20 November 1995 vol 267 c13W
Mr. Clark

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the future of GCHQ composite tracking station at Culmhead. [459]

Mr. Rifkind

On 14 November the director of GCHQ announced that the composite signals organisation station at Culmhead will close in 1999.

Dr. Clark

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how much has been spent on re-equipping GCHQ composite tracking station at Culmhead in each of the last five years. [460]

Mr. Rifkind

It is not Government policy publicly to reveal details of expenditure on intelligence beyond that shown in the single intelligence vote. Expenditure by the intelligence services is kept under review by the Committee of Parliamentarians established under the Intelligence Services Act 1994.
