§ Mr. ClappisonThe performance of Yorkshire Water Services Ltd., the regulated water and sewerage subsidiary of Yorkshire Water plc, is monitored by the water industry regulators—the Director General of Water Services, the drinking water inspectorate and the National Rivers Authority. During the present water shortages in the area, 987W my right hon. Friend has been taking independent advice to satisfy himself that Yorkshire Water Services is doing all that it can to maintain supplies.
