§ Sir Paul BeresfordMy Department makes funds available for the restoration of derelict land through English Partnerships and other programmes within the single regeneration budget. To date, English Partnerships and the regimes it subsumed have provided funding of some £7.4 million to assist the regeneration of Maryport. In addition, European funding amounting to some £652,000 has been approved in principle for two projects in Maryport under the west Cumbria and Furness objective 2 programme.
